Cheryl Joyce is a natural with children. She is incredibly patient and creative. She doesn’t rely on contrived poses, but just lets the kids be kids and follows their lead. What you end up with are photographs that are not only beautiful, but also capture each child’s personality.

I had been looking for a good pet photographer. A good friend recommended Cheryl Joyce. She was able to get us in quickly. My dog was having a bad day and I honestly left the photo shoot wondering if she was able to get any good photos. Within a few days, she posted them and they were incredible. Cheryl was able to get the best shots from what she had to work with. I have been impressed with her timeliness and professionalism. Unfortunately, my dog passed away only a couple of months later and these photos are memories that will live forever!

I am like a little kid waiting for Christmas every time we’ve done another sitting with Cheryl. I can’t wait to see the proofs because, even though I was there the whole time, Cheryl sees things that I don’t. She always catches those special moments that you didn’t see coming or the little poses or looks on my baby’s face that we couldn’t have gotten if we tried. It’s so amazing that even if my daughter is fussy or acting shy, Cheryl is always able to get the most wonderful pictures! Some of my favorites are not even your typical smiling photos but the pouty or action shots. With natural artistic talent and true skill, Cheryl captures precious moments and poses that we could never have gotten on our own. What I love most about Cheryl’s work is how well she captures my daughter’s personality. Or maybe it’s how well she captures the honesty of the moment…a shared gaze between newlyweds, friends smiling and dancing at a wedding reception. Posed portraits or stolen moments, Cheryl recognizes the importance of these events and saves them for all to enjoy. From our wedding photos to pregnant-belly photos to all of the shots of our daughter, we are so lucky to have Cheryl to capture and preserve the most important and special moments of our lives.
When I talk about our wedding day, I always talk about our photographer, Cheryl Joyce. She was at the site before I even arrived and actually greeted me at the door. I remember she told me that the flowers had been delivered and she showed me where they were. She had already gotten some beautiful shots of them and captured how gorgeous they were. Then she took me to see the wedding cake that had already been delivered. In addition to the pre-wedding and family portraits, she got all of the great “action shots” that I really wanted to see…people enjoying themselves at our wedding reception. I always say that it was like having another friend at our wedding.
